Hi Tamara,

This is a great idea (definitely one I had not thought of)! I live in a rural part of northern Arizona and work for a University extension office. We are interested in building one of the merry-go-rounds as a "green" demonstration. Has anyone responded to your April 23 comment?

Also, I found this site and your comment while looking for information about relief aid in Ghana. There is a group of us that would like to travel to Ghana next summer to work in the temple or do other church service projects.

Take Care,

Meckenzie

What are the possibilities that US Schools could also purchase electricity generating merry-go-rounds. Perhaps some of the purchase price from US purchases could go toward purchasing more of the merry-go-rounds for third world countries. With the current trend toward going green perhaps the toy could be a way for local schools to generate electricity to help reduce the amount having to be produced from fossil fuels.

I am sure this is not a new idea. I seldom have an idea that has not already been thought of by someone else already, but could you respond to the possibilies of this idea.
